The city of Miyoshi was born 400 years ago, when feudal lord Asano Nagaharu established rule over the meeting point of three rivers in northern Hiroshima. Today, Miyoshi is known for legends of Japanese yokai spirits, treasured traditions of ukai cormorant fishing, tantalizing grapes called "black pearls" (plus locally made wine), the citys morning sea of fog, and much, much more.
